Rules of Discipline

Strict discipline in school enables the students to behave themselves and to be a good model for others at all time. It is compulsory for all the students to follow the rules and regulations of the school.

  • The Students must be in possession of the school diary and necessary equipment during school hours.
  • The students must arrive at least five minutes before the first bell in full uniform and attend the assembly.
  • Running, playing or shouting in the school buildings is strictly prohibited.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the school permission without submitting a written permission to the Principal.
  • Criticism of the School or teachers in the presence of the students should be avoided strictly.
  • Students must behave in gentle manner wherever they may be.
  • It is compulsory for the students to speak English in the office and with their teachers and classmates.
  • The school reserves the right to dismiss students whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or conduct is harmful to other students.

RULES & REGULATIONS FOR STUDENTS

In order to maintain discipline at school a student is accepted to strictly observe following rules, failure to same may necessitate disciplinary action without prior notice.

  • Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. Any child who comes to school in a soiled condition will be excluded from the class & sent home.
  • The wearing of the school uniform is compulsory. It should be worn on all working days and for all school functions. A Violation of this rule is sufficient reason for the expulsion of a student from the school.
  • No student will be allowed in the school premises without the prescribed uniform.
  • All students must observe the punctuality in arriving at school. Regular late comer may not be allowed to enter the school or class.
  • Students should arrive at school before the bell rings or five minutes before the start of assembly.
  • Shouting, whistling, running in corridors and stairs or playing during study hours is strictly prohibited. It is strictly forbidden to throw anything out of place and at anyone. All games etc. are to be played during hours fixed for it.
  • Changing class rooms between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly manner.
  • All the boys should get their hair trimmed at regular intervals. And all the girls with long hairs should come to school in two ponies or plaits with red rubber band.
  • Student must respect all teachers & authorities. They must be courteous and polite under all circumstances.
  • Every student should bring his/her school bag according to the timetable to school every day.
  • Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is not permitted in the school premises.
  • Since this is an English medium school, the student shall converse in English only in school as often as possible.
  • No visitor will be allowed to contact any student without permission of the Principal.
  • Participation in all school activities is compulsory.
  • No books (other than text books or library books) magazines or papers should be brought to the school without the permission of the class teacher.
  • The school is not responsible for goods or money lost; it is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches or fountain pens) to school.
  • The name, class and section of the pupil should be clearly marked on all belongings of the students. Everything of your child should have his / her name on it clearly written so that in case of it being misplaced it can be located and restored.
  • Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the Principal/Vice Principal. They will not be called to answer phone calls during class hours.
  • Students are not allowed to carry mobile phones / CD / USB or any electronic gadgets to the school. Strict action will be taken against student violating this rule.
  • Students must ensure that they carry the Class-pass whenever they are required to move out of the classrooms.
  • Students are not allowed to wear jewelry and no cash etc is allowed on their personal.
  • Strict regularity, implicit obedience, courtesy in speech and conduct, cleanliness of dress and person are expected from every student. Students must strictly conform to the regulations laid down in this regard.
  • Leave of half day should be avoided for security reasons.
  • No collection of money/ gifts for any purpose, whatsoever, is to be made without the prior permission of the Principal.
  • Students must not enter the staff rooms unless sent for an express purpose.
  • Parents and guardians must not visit their wards or teacher in the class rooms without the permission of the principal / Vice Principal.
  • Birthdays are auspicious and important days and some of you may like your child to celebrate with his/her classmates. Even if you so desire, please do not send any sweet/toffee or eatables to the school. You can send any stationary item.
  • No articles will be passed on to the students either in the form of food during school hours.
  • A child who fails twice will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.
  • A student who uses unfair means during tests will be given zero in the subject and a warning letter. Repetition of the same will result in dismissal.
  • The pupils are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in the school but also for their general behavior outside. Any reported objectionable conduct out of the school, on the part of pupils will make them liable for disciplinary action.
  • Late comers, Uniform defaulters and children who do not do their Home Work regularly will be sent    home.
  • Any damage done to its staff or any other student shall have to be compensated for.
  • Care must be taken of all school property and no student should scratch or spoil the desks or chairs or damage any school furniture or write or draw anything on the walls or on any school furniture or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Principal/Vice Principal. Any damage done will be made good by the one who does it, together with a fine imposed on him/her for such an offence.  Anyone who notices something damaged, should report the matter even if he or she does not know who has done it.
  • You are requested to acknowledge (duly sign) all the notings of school be it diary or books or note books wherever required.
  • Parents are not allowed to enter class rooms without permission.
  • Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments to the school.
  • The school reserves the right to suspend students whose progress in studies is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is a bad precept for others.
  • Any misbehavior on part of Parents and or students will result in summery expulsion.
  • Students, who come to school in the care of attendants, should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office. It is mandatory for the escorts to carry the authority letter every day.
  • Detailed School Rules & Regulations in force can be read from the school Rule book available at the school office.
  • The management committee is fully empowered to change any rule or regulation any time without prior notice & to take any disciplinary action including expulsion of a student if it feels that presence of the said student is harmful to school, staff or other students.

Code of Conduct FOR STUDENTS

  • Students should take good care of their health and keep themselves robust and strong.
  • They should always be friendly to others in and out of the school.
  • They should avoid vulgarity (abusing words) in talk and behavior.
  • They should accept whatever work is assigned to them as their rightful share and should face difficulties courageously.
  • They should always be ready to lend a helping hand at home to their parents, brothers and sisters; in school to teachers and companions and any unattended visitor whom they happen to meet in the school premises.
  • Students should never cheat or be unfair at play and should be truthful, whatever be the cost.
  • They should rise when any teacher or visitor comes to talk to them.
  • Never be cruel, for cruelty is the trait of a bully while kindness is the mark of a gentleman.
  • Respect the beauty of the classroom and of the school premises and report any damage you may observe.

GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS

  • If you are facing any problems with the pick and drop (transportation) service please do not talk about this matter with the driver or the staff travelling in the bus but directly contact the school office phone.
  • Please ensure that your child is wearing I _Card otherwise Child will not be allowed to enter the school and sit in the class.
  • Please wait at least for 10 minutes before calling school office in case the auto or van does not touch your stop in time.
  • In case anything has been left in the school or auto, same will be restored only if the missing article contains name of the owner.
  • In case your child misses the auto, then you have to drop your child on your own.
  • In case of break down, we try to make alternate arrangements but as you can very well understand that it is not possible to inform you individually and immediately you are requested to pick up or drop your child by yourself.
  • Whenever you correspond with the school about your ward, kindly quote full name, class & section.
  • Parents are requested to read the content very carefully and make sure that there wards follow all the school rules.
  • Parents are expected to make suitable arrangements for their wards if a student is asked to remain for extra activities or extra classes after school hours.
  • You are requested to attend all P.T.A. meetings and interact with the class teacher to know about the progress of your ward.
  • You are most welcome to point any deficiencies or errors in our work by having an appointment with the Principal.
  • School reception will not give reply to holidays inquiries on phone. Parents are to go through School calendar / school diary / circular for information.

Rules Concerning Absence & Leave

  • Minimum attendance compulsory is 75%. Student falling short of attendance shall not be allowed to appear in final exams. It is compulsory for all students to complete 75% attendance before every exam to make them eligible to sit for the examination. In case attendance is short, students will not be eligible for promotion/any academic award.
  • Please ensure your child attends school regularly. Student absent on previous day shall only be allowed to join after application countersigned by parents is brought.
  • For more than 3 days leave you are requested to take prior permission of HOD / Vice Principal.
  • Any student who remains absent for more than 10 days without permission shall be expelled from school.
  • Any student who remains absent due to illness for a considerable span of time must submit a medical certificate.
  • Any student who misses a test would be awarded zero mark in the subject.
  • Any student who is irregular in attending classes will be suspended from school & will be reprimanded. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls; readmission may be granted only on.
  • No leave for absence is granted except on prior written application from parents or guardians for a valid reason only.
  • A student returning to school after suffering from an infection or contagious disease should produce a doctor’s fitness certificate permitting him to do so.
  • Early dismissal is not allowed after 12:00 Noon. Student will be allowed to leave the school only on advance notice of early dismissal. We are deeply concerned about the safety and security of our children.  In case you wish to give early pick up to your child please do not send your child to school on the day. It is hereby notified that no child may be taken home during school hours unless there is an emergency. In that case, the Vice –principal / HOD may be contacted and permission and gate pass should be obtained.
  • All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation and must be present before closing the vacation. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate within 3 days of absence through Fax, a representative or school email id.

GUIDELINES FOR USE OF TRANSPORT

  • All autos and vans are run by private contractors. Please be at the designated stop at least 5 minutes before the given time. To pick up & drop your child. In case you are not present at the stop driver will bring back your child to the school & you are requested to collect your child from the school.
  • Since autos are run on contract only students who have paid the transport charges in advance  will be allowed  to board the autos.
  • Any student who has not paid the transport charges will be de-boarded at any point of time without any notice at his / her own risks.
  • Please ensure that your child is wearing I _Card otherwise Child will not be allowed to board the auto.
  • Please wait at least for 10 minutes before calling school office in case the auto does not touch your stop in time.

  • In case your child misses the auto, you have to drop your child on your own.

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

In case of any injury, student would be given First Aid at school. In case of serious injuries student would immediately be taken to nearest hospital and parents would be informed on phone. If the parents are not able to reach in time, treatment would be started on the advice of duty doctors if they so desire without waiting for the parents.

VISITING HOURS

  • In case you have any problems regarding studies you may contact the HOD on any working day during the school hours. You can meet teachers with the prior permission of Principal only.
  • Principal is available for meeting with the Parents only with prior appointment.  In case of any emergency, you may leave message with the reception &we will get back to you as early as possible.
